Qwuloolt Estuary Project –
On Friday, August 28th, the levee on Ebee Slough was breached
as part of the Qwuloolt Estuary Project.  Tulalip Tribes led the project
along with a number of other agencies.  For the first time in over a century,
salt water and fresh water met.  Tides will now flood the estuary and the mix
of salt & fresh water will provide a rich environment for native plants and fish including salmon.
