“Derelict Nets of the Puget Sound” The recovery and disposal of derelict nets has been an on-going process in the effort to cleanup the waters of the Puget Sound.  NWIN was able to get an exclusive look at what is being done to protect these precious waters and the great progress being made.

“Nisqually Aquatic Technologies” Northwest Indian News met with the team whose job it is to cleanup these nets and got a first-hand look at the dangerous work of removing derelict nets.

“Stories from the Cushman Boarding School”  Stories of life at the Cushman Boarding School are being collected from former residents as part of a historical project by the Puyallup Tribes.

“Prelude Strings for Tulalip Youth”  For the first time, Tulalip Elementary School has a strings program for their music department.  The program came to Tulalip through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers, and a donation from a very surprising source.
